Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was forced to cancel a series of British television appearances on Monday after she fell down a staircase and broke her toe.
Daily Mail reported that Clinton was spotted later in the day wearing a surgical boot as she hobbled out of an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” on crutches.
“I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards,” Clinton said of her fall, which forced her to cancel appearances like ITV’s “This Morning” and “Woman’s Hour” on Radio 4.
“I tried to get up and it really hurt. I’ve broken my toe,” Clinton continued. “I’ve received excellent care from your excellent health service.
Clinton underwent an X-ray on Monday afternoon before deciding to move forward with her appearance on Norton’s show.
Clinton has been in the United Kingdom promoting her new memoir “What Happened,” but her time in the European nation has been a bit of a mess. On Sunday, she was an hour late for her appearance at the Cheltenham Literary Festival.
This makes it clear once and for all that Clinton did not have the stamina to be president. This woman can barely make it through a book tour, much less be president of the United States!
